Ingredients
- 500 g Chicken breast (cut into cubes for skewers)
- 1 tsp Paprika (to taste for the marinade)
- 1 tsp Garlic powder (to taste for the marinade)
- Spices to taste (dried herb mix)
- 2 tbsp Olive oil (for the marinade and sauce)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 2 tsp Ghee butter
- 2 Garlic (crushed)
- 0.5 tsp Lemon zest
- 1 tsp Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1 tbsp Fresh cilantro (finely chopped)
Steps
- 1
Start by cutting the chicken breast into uniform-sized cubes to ensure even cooking.
- 2
In a bowl, season the chicken with paprika, garlic powder, spices to taste, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well so all pieces are evenly coated.
- 3
Place the chicken pieces in the air fryer basket.
- 4
Cook the chicken in the air fryer at 200°C (400°F) for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 5
While the chicken is cooking, prepare the sauce by mixing the olive oil, crushed garlic, lemon zest, 2 teaspoons of ghee butter, parmesan cheese, and finely chopped fresh cilantro in a small bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 6
Once the chicken is ready, remove it from the fryer and toss it evenly with the prepared sauce.
- 7
Return the sauced chicken to the air fryer for an additional 1 to 2 minutes so the flavors meld and the cheese melts slightly.
Notes
You can thread the chicken pieces onto skewer sticks before cooking if you prefer a classic skewer presentation. If you don't have an air fryer, you can cook them in a pan over medium-high heat.
