Ingredients
- 500 g Bread flour
- 1 tbsp Dry yeast
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 250 ml Water
- 50 g Canola oil
- 0.5 tbsp Salt
- 1 cup Garlic cloves (Peeled; about 1 cup.)
- Olive oil (Enough to fully cover the garlic.)
- 3 tbsp Butter (Softened.)
- 2 tbsp Parsley (Chopped.)
- 1 tsp Chili flakes
- 1 tsp Sesame seeds
- Grated Parmesan cheese (Amount not specified.)
Steps
- 1
Mix the dry yeast, sugar, and water. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes, until foamy.
- 2
Add the bread flour, honey, and canola oil. Knead for 3 minutes.
- 3
Add the salt and continue kneading for at least 10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- 4
Cover the dough and let it rise for at least 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- 5
Meanwhile, put the peeled garlic cloves in an oven-safe dish and cover them fully with olive oil. Bake at a low temperature, around 250°F (120°C), until soft and golden. The source does not specify a baking time.
- 6
Transfer only the garlic cloves to a bowl, leaving the oil behind. Mash the cloves.
- 7
Add the softened butter, chopped parsley, chili flakes, and sesame seeds to the mashed garlic and mix.
- 8
Using scissors, cut the risen dough into small, rustic pieces; they do not need to be perfectly even.
- 9
Toss each dough piece in the garlic-butter mixture, then coat it with grated Parmesan.
- 10
Stack the coated dough pieces in a baking pan.
- 11
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 40 minutes, until golden brown and fully baked.
- 12
Serve warm and pull apart.
Notes
The olive-oil amount is given as enough to fully cover the garlic; the Parmesan amount is not specified. No time is given for roasting the garlic.
