Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon fillets (skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha (adjust for spice level)
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 cup cooked white rice (for serving)
  • 0.5 cucumber (sliced, for serving)
  • 1 avocado (sliced, for serving)
  • green onions (sliced, for garnish)

Steps

  1. 1

Pat the salmon cubes dry with a paper towel and place them in a medium mixing bowl.

  2. 2

Add the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the salmon. Toss well until every piece is evenly coated in the seasoning.

  3. 3

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

  4. 4

Place the seasoned salmon bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded to allow for proper air circulation.

  5. 5

Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 7-9 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the edges are slightly crispy and golden.

  6. 6

While the salmon is cooking, prepare the bang bang sauce by whisking together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and honey in a small bowl until smooth.

  7. 7

Once the salmon is done, transfer the hot bites to a clean bowl. Pour the bang bang sauce over the salmon and toss gently to coat.

  8. 8

Assemble the bowls by dividing the cooked rice between two bowls. Top with the bang bang salmon bites, sliced cucumber, and sliced avocado.

  9. 9

Garnish with sliced green onions and an extra drizzle of Sriracha if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispy salmon, ensure the cubes are patted very dry before adding oil. You can substitute the white rice with brown rice or quinoa for a healthier option.
