Ingredients
- 1 cup Mayonnaise (high quality)
- 0.5 cup Sour Cream
- 0.25 cup Buttermilk (adjust for desired consistency)
- 3 tbsp Hot Honey (more to taste)
- 1 tsp Dried Dill
- 1 tsp Dried Chives
- 1 tsp Dried Parsley
- 0.5 tsp Garlic Powder
- 0.5 tsp Onion Powder
- 0.25 tsp Cayenne Pepper (optional for extra heat)
- Salt (to taste)
- Black Pepper (to taste)
Steps
- 1
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk. Whisk together until the base is smooth and well-incorporated.
- 2
Add the hot honey to the creamy mixture. If your hot honey is very thick, you can microwave it for 5-10 seconds to make it easier to pour and blend.
- 3
Stir in the dried dill, chives, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- 4
Whisk the sauce vigorously until all the herbs and spices are evenly distributed and the sauce has a uniform color.
- 5
Taste the ranch and season with salt and black pepper as needed. If you prefer a thinner consistency, add an extra tablespoon of buttermilk.
- 6
For the best flavor, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the dried herbs to rehydrate and the flavors to meld.
Notes
Store in an airtight container or jar in the refrigerator for up to one week. The flavors will continue to develop as it sits. If you don't have store-bought hot honey, you can make a quick version by heating honey with red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.
