Ingredients
- 1 cup Fresh blackberries (plus extra for garnish)
- 1 Orange (sliced into rounds)
- 750 ml Red wine (one standard bottle; choose a fruity red like Merlot or Pinot Noir)
- 12 oz Wildwonder Blackberry Violet Drink (one can of prebiotic + probiotic drink)
- 0.25 cup Brandy (optional, for added depth)
- Fresh thyme (for garnish)
Steps
- 1
In a large pitcher, add the fresh blackberries and sliced orange rounds.
- 2
If using brandy, pour it over the fruit and lightly muddle a few of the blackberries to release their juices.
- 3
Pour in the entire bottle of red wine.
- 4
Add the Wildwonder Blackberry Violet drink to the pitcher and stir gently to combine all ingredients.
- 5
Fill glasses with ice and pour the sangria over the ice.
- 6
Garnish each glass with a few extra blackberries and a sprig of fresh thyme for an autumnal aroma.
Notes
For the best flavor, let the sangria chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the fruit to macerate. You can substitute the red wine with sparkling grape juice for a non-alcoholic mocktail version.
