Ingredients
- 3 Earl Grey tea bags
- 2 cup milk (whole milk or lactose-free light milk is recommended)
- 1 tbsp condensed milk (or to taste)
- 1 tbsp additional milk (for the re-spin process)
Steps
- 1
Pour the 2 cups of milk into a saucepan and bring it to a boil on the stove over medium heat.
- 2
Once the milk boils, add the 3 Earl Grey tea bags and let it steep until the flavor is strong.
- 3
Add 1 tablespoon of condensed milk to the hot mixture and stir well until completely dissolved.
- 4
Let the mixture cool to room temperature. Once cool, remove the tea bags and pass the liquid through a sieve or strainer to remove any remaining loose tea leaves.
- 5
Transfer the prepared mixture to your official Ninja Creami pint.
- 6
Place the lid on and freeze the container upright for at least 24 hours (overnight).
- 7
Insert the frozen container into the Ninja Creami and process using the 'Lite Ice Cream' function.
- 8
Remove the container from the machine. If the texture is powdery, add 1 additional tablespoon of milk to the center and select the 'Respin' function. Repeat the re-spin process until the desired consistency is reached.
Notes
For best results, ensure the base is completely cold before freezing. The author suggests using whole milk for a richer texture, although lactose-free milk also works well.
