Ingredients
- 2 oz Espresso (Double shot, freshly brewed)
- 1 tbsp Syrup (Simple syrup, brown sugar syrup, or flavor of choice)
- Ice (Divided; some for foaming and some for the serving glass)
- 4 oz Milk (Dairy or plant-based milk of choice)
Steps
- 1
In a small pitcher or foaming vessel, combine the freshly brewed espresso, syrup, and a few cubes of ice.
- 2
Use a Nanofoamer (or similar high-powered milk frother) to aerate the mixture. Continue foaming until the espresso is chilled and has transformed into a thick, silky foam.
- 3
Fill a separate serving glass with fresh ice and pour in the milk.
- 4
Strain the aerated espresso foam over the top of the iced milk.
Notes
The Nanofoamer is specifically mentioned as the tool that allows for this level of aeration without traditional shaking. Straining the foam ensures a smooth texture without large ice shards from the foaming process.
