Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts (halved)
- salt (to season the chicken and sauce)
- pepper (to season the chicken and sauce)
- garlic powder (to season the chicken and sauce)
- paprika (to season the chicken and sauce)
- 0.5 white onion (chopped)
- 3 dientes garlic (crushed)
- 225 g mushrooms (sliced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 0.5 cup chicken broth
- 4 potatoes (to serve)
- 2 tbsp butter (for the potatoes)
- parsley (chopped, for the potatoes)
Steps
- 1
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika on both sides.
- 2
In a large skillet with a little oil, cook the chicken until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- 3
In the same skillet, add the chopped white onion and crushed garlic cloves. Sauté until fragrant.
- 4
Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until browned.
- 5
Season the vegetables with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika to taste.
- 6
Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Mix well and let the sauce thicken slightly over medium heat.
- 7
Return the chicken to the skillet with the sauce so it can warm through and the flavors can meld.
- 8
For the potatoes: boil the potatoes until tender, then sauté them in a skillet with butter and chopped parsley.
- 9
Serve the chicken covered in mushroom sauce alongside the buttered potatoes.
