- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1.5 tsp Worcestershire sauce (1 to 2 tsp)
- 1 can Pillsbury Grands biscuits (8 count)
- 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- crispy fried onions (for the last 5 minutes of baking)
Steps
- 1
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- 2
Brown 1 lb of ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Season with garlic salt to taste.
- 3
Dump the cooked and seasoned beef into the prepared 9x13-inch baking dish.
- 4
Add 3/4 cup BBQ sauce, 1 tbsp yellow mustard, and 1 to 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce directly into the pan with the beef. Stir everything together until the meat is well coated.
- 5
Using kitchen scissors or a pizza cutter, cut each of the 8 biscuits into quarters.
- 6
Scatter the biscuit quarters evenly over the top of the beef mixture.
- 7
Cover the biscuits and beef with 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.
- 8
Bake at 375°F for 17 to 20 minutes.
- 9
Remove from the oven and sprinkle crispy fried onions over the top.
- 10
Return to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown, the cheese is bubbly, and the onions are toasted.
- 11
Drizzle with extra BBQ sauce before serving.
