Ingredients
- 1.5 lb chicken breast (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 0.25 cup cornstarch (helps with extra crispiness)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- salt (to taste)
- black pepper (to taste)
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 0.5 cup wing sauce (buffalo or your preferred flavor)
- cooking spray (for the air fryer basket)
Steps
- 1
Cut the chicken breasts into uniform bite-sized pieces.
- 2
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- 3
Dip each piece of chicken into the beaten eggs, then dredge thoroughly in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- 4
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- 5
Place the chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Spray the tops of the chicken lightly with cooking spray.
- 6
Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
- 7
Remove the chicken from the air fryer and toss immediately in a bowl with your chosen wing sauce until well coated.
Notes
Serve immediately with ranch or blue cheese dressing and celery sticks. If you prefer extra crispy wings, you can air fry for an additional 2-3 minutes.
