Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
- 1 bunch asparagus (trimmed)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 0.5 lemon (sliced into rounds for garnish)
- salt (to taste)
- black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Steps
- 1
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- 2
Place the salmon fillets in the center of the baking sheet and arrange the trimmed asparagus spears around them in a single layer.
- 3
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, and lemon juice until well combined.
- 4
Drizzle the garlic butter mixture evenly over the salmon fillets and the asparagus.
- 5
Season everything generously with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 6
Top the salmon fillets with lemon slices.
- 7
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and the asparagus is tender-crisp.
- 8
Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For thicker salmon fillets, you may need to add 2-3 minutes to the cooking time. If you prefer your asparagus very soft, you can start roasting it 5 minutes before adding the salmon to the pan.
