Ingredients
- 3 cup seedless green grapes (washed)
- 0.5 cup sugar
- fresh mint (to taste for macerating and garnish)
- 2 cup water (divided)
- 5 lime juice (the juice of 5 limes)
- ice (for serving)
Steps
- 1
In a large bowl, place the 3 cups of seedless green grapes along with the half cup of sugar.
- 2
Add a few fresh mint leaves to the bowl with the grapes and sugar.
- 3
Macerate the fruit with the sugar and mint for a few minutes; this will help extract a more intense flavor from the fruit.
- 4
Transfer the macerated mixture to a blender and add the 2 cups of water.
- 5
Blend until the mixture is smooth.
- 6
Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove the grape skins and mint leaves.
- 7
Stir the juice of the 5 limes into the pitcher and mix well.
- 8
Serve in glasses with plenty of ice and enjoy immediately.
Notes
Macerating the grapes with the sugar and mint before blending is the secret to obtaining a much deeper and more refreshing flavor.
