Ingredients
- 1 kg Chicken breast (cut into pieces)
- 2 Red onions (chopped)
- 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 6 tbsp Ketchup
- 9 tbsp Sweet soy sauce (Ketjap Manis) (sweet soy sauce (Ketjap Manis))
- 4 tsp Sugar (sugar)
- 4.5 tsp Sambal Oelek (4 to 5 teaspoons depending on heat preference)
- 2 tbsp Peanut butter (peanut butter)

Prepare the ingredients by cutting the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces, chopping the red onions, and mincing the garlic.

Place the chicken pieces, chopped red onions, and minced garlic into the slow cooker.

Add 6 tablespoons of ketchup, 9 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce (Ketjap Manis), 4 teaspoons of sugar, 4 to 5 teaspoons of sambal Oelek, and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter to the slow cooker.

Stir all ingredients together until the chicken is well coated in the sauce.

Set the slow cooker to Low and cook for approximately 3 hours.

Once finished, serve the spicy chicken on a grilled panini with grated cheese, or alongside fries or rice.
Notes
The author suggests serving this on a panini with melted cheese, but it is also excellent with fries or white rice. Adjust the sambal Oelek quantity based on your spice tolerance.
