Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken (can substitute with ground turkey)
- 0.5 cup onion (finely chopped)
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 0.25 cup fresh cilantro (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 0.5 tsp ground cumin
- 0.5 tsp red chili powder (adjust to heat preference)
- salt (to taste)
- 1 tbsp oil (for brushing)
Steps
- 1
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, cilantro, garam masala, coriander, cumin, chili powder, and salt. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
- 2
Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into long, sausage-like kebabs.
- 3
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- 4
Lightly brush the air fryer basket with oil. Place the kebabs in the basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
- 5
Air fry for 12-15 minutes, turning halfway through, until the kebabs are cooked through and have a nice charred exterior.
- 6
Remove from the air fryer and serve warm with turmeric quinoa rice or your choice of side.
Notes
For the best texture, ensure the onions are finely chopped and excess moisture is squeezed out if they are very watery. These kebabs store well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and can be reheated in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes.
