Ingredients
- 1 cup neutral, high-heat cooking oil (such as avocado or grapeseed oil)
- 0.5 cup crushed red chili flakes
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 garlic (cloves, minced)
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 cup salted butter (room temperature for easier mixing; grass-fed recommended)
- 2 tbsp fresh dill (roughly chopped)
- 0.333 cup honey
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 0.5 tsp dried parsley
- 0.25 tsp mustard powder
- salt (to taste)
Steps
- 1
Heat 1 cup of neutral, high-heat cooking oil in a small saucepan until it reaches 250°F.
- 2
To a wok or deep heat-proof pan, add 1/2 cup crushed red chili flakes, 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, 2 minced garlic cloves, and 2 teaspoons of salt.
- 3
Carefully pour the hot oil over the ingredients in the wok and mix well to combine. This creates the chili oil base.
- 4
Let the chili oil sit and cool completely to room temperature.
- 5
Once the chili oil has cooled, add the remaining ingredients: 1 cup salted butter, 2 tablespoons fresh chopped dill, 1/3 cup honey, and the ranch seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, mustard powder, and additional salt to taste).
- 6
Mix all ingredients thoroughly until a creamy, uniform compound butter is formed.
Notes
