“Chiprovoleta”: 2-Ingredient Cheese Breads
Cheese buns inspired by chipa, made solely with grated hard cheese and egg whites. They turn out crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and with a flavor more reminiscent of provoleta than traditional chipa.

Ingredients
- 300 g Grated hard cheese (The recipe mentions Parmesan cheese; another hard, strongly flavored cheese that can be grated may be used.)
- 3 Egg whites (Use the whites separated from the yolks.)
Steps
- 1
Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the cheese breads from sticking.
- 2
If the cheese is not already grated, grate it finely. Place the 300 g of grated hard cheese in a bowl.
- 3
Add the 3 egg whites to the grated cheese.
- 4
Mix and knead with your hands until fully combined. A moist, pliable dough should form; there is no need to add flour or any other ingredient.
- 5
Divide the dough and shape it into approximately 10 small balls, gently compacting them so they hold their shape during baking.
- 6
Place the balls on the lined baking sheet, leaving a little space between them.
- 7
Bake at 180 °C for approximately 15 minutes, until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
- 8
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the breads rest for a few minutes before serving. The inside should remain softer than the outside.
Notes
The creator clarifies that the result is not exactly a traditional chipa, but has a flavor more reminiscent of provoleta. They are ideal for eating as a freshly baked savory snack.
