Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb small potatoes (cut in half)
  • water (enough to cover potatoes)
  • 1 tsp salt (for boiling water)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp salt (for seasoning)
  • 1 tsp paprika (spicy paprika recommended)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 3 garlic (cloves, minced)
  • 0.5 lemon (juiced (source shows a lime, but text says lemon))
  • parsley (chopped, for garnish)
  • chili (to taste)

Steps

  1. 1

Cut all the small potatoes in half.

  2. 2

Transfer the potatoes to a pot and add 1 teaspoon of salt.

  3. 3

Pour in enough water (hot water speeds up the process) to completely cover the potatoes.

  4. 4

Turn on the heat and let the potatoes cook for 15 to 20 minutes until tender.

  5. 5

In a separate skillet, add 1 tablespoon of butter and let it melt completely over medium heat.

  6. 6

Once the butter is melted, add the cooked potatoes to the skillet.

  7. 7

Let the potatoes sear until they are nicely golden brown, then flip them one by one to brown the other side.

  8. 8

Sprinkle another teaspoon of salt evenly over the potatoes.

  9. 9

Add 1 teaspoon of paprika (spicy paprika is recommended) and 1 teaspoon of black pepper.

  10. 10

Add 3 minced garlic cloves to the skillet.

  11. 11

Mix everything well so the potatoes absorb the seasonings and let them brown a little more to intensify the flavors.

  12. 12

Squeeze the juice of half a lemon over the potatoes to enhance the flavor.

  13. 13

Finish by adding chopped parsley and chili to taste, then turn off the heat and serve.

Notes

The video shows the creator using a lime, though the written recipe and transcript specify lemon. You can use either depending on your preference. Using hot water to start the boiling process is a time-saving tip mentioned by the author.
