Ingredients

  • 2 apples (Diced)
  • water (A small splash, for cooking the apples)
  • cinnamon (A generous pinch; use liberally to taste)
  • 40 g chia seeds
  • flaxseed (Optional, 5–10 g)
  • 7 el low-fat quark or soy quark (6–8 tablespoons; use low-fat quark or soy quark)
  • 150 ml milk or plant-based milk
  • 1 el protein powder (Optional)
  • pecans (Optional as a topping, for example a handful)
  • speculaas cookies (Optional as a topping, broken into pieces)
  • granola (Optional as a topping)

Steps

  1. 1

    Dice the apples.

  2. 2

Cook the diced apples in a pan with a small splash of water and a generous amount of cinnamon until the apples are soft and fragrant.

  3. 3

Remove approximately one-third of the cooked apples from the pan and blend them with the chia seeds, quark or soy quark, milk, and, if desired, the protein powder and flaxseed until smooth.

  4. 4

Divide the chia mousse among containers or store it for several days. If desired, serve with toppings of your choice, such as pecans, pieces of speculaas cookies, or granola.
