Ingredients
- 1 lb 93/7 lean ground beef (lean)
- Avocado oil spray (for greasing the skillet)
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tbsp Minced garlic
- 2 pack Regal Kitchen Foods Pasta Zing Spaghetti Noodles (about 7 oz each; can substitute with 16 oz standard spaghetti)
- 3 Green onions (sliced)
- 0.333 cup Low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp Brown sugar
- 1 tsp Ground ginger
- 0.5 cup Low-sodium beef broth
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch
- 0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes (optional)
Steps
- 1
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and spray with avocado oil.
- 2
Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Let it brown well so some of the pieces get slightly crispy.
- 3
Season with salt and pepper once the beef is almost fully cooked, then add the minced garlic and mix well.
- 4
In a measuring cup, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, ground ginger, beef broth, cornstarch, and red pepper flakes (if using) until the cornstarch is fully dissolved.
- 5
Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and simmer for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
- 6
Microwave the Pasta Zing noodles according to the package directions, heating one package at a time.
- 7
Add the heated noodles to the skillet and toss until they are evenly coated in the sauce.
- 8
Top with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
Notes
If you don’t have microwavable noodles, cook one 16 oz package of standard spaghetti according to the package directions and use that instead.
