Ingredients
- 300 g Chicken breast strips (Approximately 6 strips)
- 1 Egg (Beaten)
- 30 g Wheat flour
- 50 g Cornflakes (Crushed)
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- Salt (To taste)
- Black pepper (To taste)
- 10 sprays Cooking spray
- 100 g Plain nonfat Greek yogurt (0% fat)
- 30 g Sweet chili sauce (For the sauce)
- 1 tsp Sriracha
- 20 g Honey
- 30 g Additional sweet chili sauce (5 g per strip; for brushing on before coating with the Bang Bang sauce)
Steps
- 1
Place the chicken strips in a bowl. Season them on all sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- 2
Prepare three separate bowls: place the beaten egg in the first, the flour in the second, and the crushed cornflakes in the third.
- 3
Dredge each chicken strip first in the flour, coating it completely. Shake off the excess.
- 4
Dip the strip into the beaten egg until completely coated, then let the excess drip off.
- 5
Coat the strip in the crushed cornflakes and press gently so the coating adheres. Repeat with all the strips.
- 6
Place the breaded strips in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them so the air can circulate. Spray them with cooking spray.
- 7
Cook in the air fryer at 200 °C for 15 minutes, turning them halfway through cooking if necessary, until golden and crispy and the chicken reaches 74 °C in the center.
- 8
While the chicken is cooking, place the Greek yogurt, 30 g sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey in a small bowl. Stir with a spoon until smooth.
- 9
When the strips are ready, brush approximately 5 g of additional sweet chili sauce onto each one.
- 10
Dip each strip into the Bang Bang sauce, coating it to taste. Serve immediately to preserve the crispiness.
