Weights are estimates. Together, the ingredients weigh about 1.16 kg before cooking, which is about 95 g per serving.

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180 °C) (175°C (350 °F)).

  2. Lightly grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.

  3. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.

  4. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar.

  5. Stir the beaten eggs and mashed bananas into the butter mixture until well blended.

  6. Stir the banana mixture into the flour mixture; stir just until moistened.

  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.

  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Make sure to use bananas with a lot of black on them for the best flavor! The blacker the bananas, the stronger the banana flavor of the bread. Some reviewers suggest adding vanilla, cinnamon, or walnuts for variation.
