Ingredients
- 8 oz Corn tortilla chips
- 8 oz Cream cheese (Softened to room temperature)
- 8 oz Cooked crabmeat (Drained and flaked; remove any cartilage fragments)
- 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 Green onions (Finely chopped)
- 2 cloves Garlic (Minced or grated)
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Lime juice (For the crab mixture)
- 0.5 cup Mexican crema (For serving)
- 1 tbsp Hot sauce (Mixed with the crema; adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp Lime juice (For the crema)
- 0.25 cup Sweet chili sauce (For drizzling at the end)
- Salt (To taste)
- Black pepper (To taste)
Steps
- 1
Preheat the oven to 400 °F (200 °C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- 2
In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, crabmeat, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, and lime juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste, mixing gently to preserve some pieces of crab.
- 3
Spread the tortilla chips in a single layer on the baking sheet. Distribute the cream cheese and crab mixture over the top, aiming to spread it so that each serving has some topping.
- 4
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the nachos.
- 5
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the cheese is fully melted and the edges of the tortilla chips are lightly browned. Watch closely to prevent burning.
- 6
While the nachos bake, mix the Mexican crema, hot sauce, and lime juice in a small bowl. Taste and adjust the level of heat or acidity.
- 7
Remove the nachos from the oven and let them rest for 1 or 2 minutes so the topping can set.
- 8
Drizzle the spicy lime crema and sweet chili sauce over the nachos. Serve immediately, with more sauce on the side if desired.
Notes
The original post does not include quantities or complete instructions; this is an approximate reconstruction based on the creator's description. For a crispier texture, add the crema and sauce just before serving. Fresh crab can be replaced with well-drained canned crab.
