Ingredients
- 1 cup Toffee bits
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 cup Water
Steps
- 1
Add the toffee bits, granulated sugar, and water to a medium saucepan.
- 2
Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir frequently until the sugar has completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth and hot.
- 3
Bring the mixture to a boil, then immediately reduce the heat to low.
- 4
Simmer the syrup for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Keep the heat low enough to maintain a gentle simmer rather than a vigorous boil.
- 5
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the syrup cool for 10 minutes.
- 6
Set a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth over a heatproof container. Pour the cooled syrup through it to strain out the remaining toffee bits.
- 7
Transfer the strained syrup to a clean jar or other storage container. Seal and refrigerate for up to 1 month.
Notes
Use the syrup in coffee, iced drinks, or other beverages. Strain carefully while the syrup is still pourable, and allow it to cool before sealing the storage jar.
