Ingredients
- 0.5 cup granulated sugar (for simple syrup)
- 0.5 cup water (for simple syrup)
- 1 tsp simple syrup or lemon juice (for rimming the glass)
- 1 tbsp purple sugar (for rimming the glass)
- 1.5 part vodka
- 1 part blue curacao
- 1 part lemon and lime juice (mixed)
- 1 part cran-grape juice
- 1 part grenadine
- 3 maraschino cherries (speared for garnish)
Steps
- 1
If you are making your own simple syrup, combine the sugar and water in a pot and boil until the sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally. Save what you don't use for up to 1 month in the fridge.
- 2
Rim a glass with a paper towel wet with simple syrup or lemon juice.
- 3
Spread some purple sugar on a plate and place your glass rim-down into the sugar. Give it a slight shake to get it thoroughly coated and set the glass aside.
- 4
In a cocktail shaker, mix all the drink ingredients (vodka, blue curacao, lemon/lime juice, cran-grape juice, and grenadine) with a few large cubes of ice.
- 5
Shake for 10 seconds.
- 6
Place some fresh ice into your glass and pour the drink in, straining out the ice in the shaker.
- 7
Serve with some speared maraschino cherries to adventurers before they need to bribe a guard to look the other way during their next heist!
Notes
