Ingredients

  • 12 slider rolls (Connected rolls or individual dinner rolls)
  • 24 prepared meatballs (About 2 meatballs per slider; frozen or homemade)
  • 3 cup marinara sauce (Plus more if needed to coat the meatballs)
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese (Shredded)
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese (Finely grated)
  • 3 tbsp butter (Melted, for brushing the rolls)
  • 2 clove garlic (Minced and mixed into the melted butter)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (For the butter topping)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (Chopped, for garnish)

Steps

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment.

  2. 2

Warm the meatballs in the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until the meatballs are heated through and thoroughly coated, about 10 minutes. If using frozen meatballs, follow the package directions and ensure they reach 165°F (74°C) internally.

  3. 3

Without separating the rolls, slice them horizontally through the middle to create one top slab and one bottom slab. Place the bottom slab in the prepared baking dish.

  4. 4

Arrange two saucy meatballs on each roll section. Spoon additional marinara over the meatballs so the sliders are moist but not flooded.

  5. 5

Sprinkle the mozzarella evenly over the meatballs, followed by the grated Parmesan.

  6. 6

Place the tops of the rolls over the filling. Stir the melted butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning together, then brush the mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.

  7. 7

Cover the baking dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes, until the sliders are hot and the cheese has melted.

  8. 8

Remove the foil and bake for 5 to 10 minutes more, until the cheese is bubbling and the roll tops are lightly golden.

  9. 9

Garnish with chopped parsley. Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes, then separate them and serve warm.
