Ingredients
- 2 bananas (Peeled and cut into fairly thick slices)
- 1 bicchiere rolled oats (About 80 g; use enough to form a layer in the skillet)
- cooking spray (As needed to lightly grease the skillet)
- 2 cucchiai honey (Drizzled over the bananas and oats)
- 150 g Greek yogurt (Estimated quantity based on the context; to serve alongside)
- sweetener (A pinch, for the yogurt)
Steps
- 1
Lightly grease a nonstick skillet with cooking spray and heat it over medium heat. You do not need much oil: it only needs to prevent the oats from sticking excessively.
- 2
Spread the rolled oats in the skillet, forming an even layer.
- 3
Add the peeled bananas, cut into fairly thick slices, arranging them on top of the layer of oats.
- 4
Drizzle the 2 tbsp of honey over the bananas and oats, trying to distribute it as evenly as possible.
- 5
Cook over medium heat for about 5-8 minutes, until the oats are lightly toasted and the honey begins to caramelize. The bananas should soften and the oats should become slightly crispy; they may not adhere completely to the bananas as shown in the video.
- 6
While the mixture cooks, place the Greek yogurt in a bowl and add a pinch of sweetener. Stir until evenly distributed.
- 7
Transfer the bananas with the caramelized oats to a bowl or plate and serve with the sweetened Greek yogurt.
Notes
The video notes that this preparation is very high in calories relative to the final volume, especially because of the combination of oats, honey, and bananas. The oats may not adhere perfectly to the slices; even so, toasting and caramelization contribute to the crispy texture and flavor.
