Spicy Cowboy Butter
A creamy, spicy, and aromatic butter sauce with lemon, Dijon mustard, garlic, and herbs. It is ideal for serving with grilled beef, pork, or chicken.

Ingredients
- 6 tbsp Butter
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 0.5 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 0.5 tbsp Lemon zest
- 0.5 Lemon juice (The juice of half a lemon.)
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 3.5 Garlic (Crushed or grated cloves; use 3 to 4 cloves.)
- 2 tbsp Fresh parsley (Finely chopped.)
- 1 tsp Thyme
- Red pepper flakes (Hot chili flakes, to taste.)
- Salt and black pepper (To taste.)

Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium-low heat, taking care not to let it burn or become too dark.

Add the paprika, cayenne pepper, lemon zest and juice, Dijon mustard, garlic, parsley, thyme, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.

Cook the mixture for 1 minute, stirring to combine the ingredients until fragrant and uniform.

Serve the cowboy butter hot or warm alongside your preferred cut of beef, pork, or chicken, especially when grilled.
Notes
This recipe is intended as a sauce for a barbecue. Adjust the red pepper flakes, cayenne, salt, and pepper to taste.
