Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas (Peeled; preferably very ripe)
  • 50 g peanut butter (For spreading)
  • 50 g dark chocolate (Melted)
  • 20 g salted peanuts (Chopped or whole, for topping)

Steps

  1. 1

Line a baking tray or flat dish with parchment paper. Place the peeled bananas between two baking trays or between two sheets of parchment paper and flatten them into an even layer approximately 0.5–1 cm thick.

  2. 2

Remove the top tray or sheet of parchment paper and spread the peanut butter over the entire surface of the banana layer, almost reaching the edges.

  3. 3

Place the tray in the freezer until the banana and peanut butter layer is completely solid, approximately 1 hour.

  4. 4

Carefully melt the dark chocolate in short intervals in the microwave or in a bain-marie, stirring until smooth. Do not let it burn.

  5. 5

Spread the melted chocolate over the frozen layer, covering it evenly.

  6. 6

Sprinkle the salted peanuts over the chocolate while it is still liquid, and gently press them down so they adhere.

  7. 7

Return the tray to the freezer for a couple of hours, until the chocolate is completely set and the bark is firm.

  8. 8

Remove the bark from the tray, cut it with a sharp knife into 10 small pieces, and serve directly from frozen.

Notes

Store the pieces in an airtight container in the freezer. The amounts of peanut butter, chocolate, and peanuts were estimated because the provided text does not specify them; the author indicates that the recipe makes 10 pieces, at approximately 92 kcal each.
