Ingredients

  • 500 g gnocchi
  • olive oil (for sautéing)
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 300 g beef strips (seasoned with parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper)
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • salt (to taste)
  • black pepper (to taste)
  • 2 garlic (cloves, minced)
  • 400 ml water or chicken broth
  • 120 ml heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • 2 handfuls spinach leaves (optional)
  • 100 g brie cheese
  • 80 g shredded mozzarella cheese

Steps

  1. 1

Season the beef strips with 1 tsp parsley, 0.5 tsp smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to taste.

  2. 2

In a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat, add a drizzle of olive oil and 1 tbsp unsalted butter.

  3. 3

Add the seasoned beef strips to the pan and sauté until browned.

  4. 4

Add 2 minced garlic cloves to the pan and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  5. 5

Add 500 g gnocchi directly to the pan.

  6. 6

Pour in 400 ml water (or chicken broth) and 120 ml heavy cream. Stir to combine.

  7. 7

Add 2 tbsp cream cheese and stir until incorporated.

  8. 8

If using, add 2 handfuls of fresh spinach leaves and stir until they begin to wilt.

  9. 9

Add 100 g brie cheese (cut into pieces) and 80 g shredded mozzarella.

  10. 10

Cook, stirring occasionally, for a few minutes until the cheeses have melted, the sauce has thickened, and the gnocchi is cooked through. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can use any cut of beef suitable for quick frying, such as sirloin or ribeye strips. For a deeper flavor, use chicken broth instead of water.
