Ingredients
- 1.5 lb chicken thighs (boneless, skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces)
- salt (to taste)
- pepper (to taste)
- 3 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 0.25 cup cornstarch
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 minced garlic (cloves)
- 0.5 cup soy sauce
- 4 tbsp honey
Steps
- 1
Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- 2
Season the chicken with salt, pepper, 3 tsp garlic powder, 2 tbsp oyster sauce, and 1 tsp grated ginger. Mix thoroughly to coat.
- 3
Add 1/4 cup cornstarch to the seasoned chicken and toss until every piece is evenly coated.
- 4
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with a drizzle of oil. Add the chicken in a single layer and cook until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 6-8 minutes. Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
- 5
In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp of butter over medium heat.
- 6
Add the minced garlic to the butter and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- 7
Pour in 1/2 cup soy sauce and 4 tbsp honey. Stir to combine and bring the sauce to a simmer.
- 8
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Toss well to coat the chicken in the glaze and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce has thickened and the chicken is heated through.
Notes
Serve over steamed white rice or with stir-fried vegetables for a complete meal.
