Ingredients
- 0.75 cup Kewpie mayo (Kewpie USA brand recommended)
- 0.25 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- hot sauce (to taste)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 0.5 tbsp smoked paprika
- 0.5 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1.5 tbsp finely minced pickles (can use relish; 1-2 tbsp)
- 1 tsp honey
- salt (to taste)
- black pepper (to taste)
Steps
- 1
In a medium bowl or glass jar, combine the Kewpie mayo, ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, lemon juice, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, minced pickles, and honey.
- 2
Whisk all the ingredients together vigorously until the mixture is completely smooth and fully combined.
- 3
Taste the sauce and season with salt, black pepper, and additional hot sauce if desired.
- 4
Cover the bowl or jar and refrigerate. While it can be used after 30 minutes, it is highly recommended to let it chill overnight to allow the flavors to fully develop.
Notes
This sauce will last about 2 weeks when kept covered in the refrigerator. It pairs exceptionally well with Hot Honey Garlic or Honey Chipotle Fried Chicken.
