Ingredients
- 21 oz apple pie filling (one standard can)
- 16.5 oz snickerdoodle cookie dough (one package of refrigerated dough)
- 0.5 cup caramel sauce (rich caramel topping)
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar (for topping)
- 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon (for topping)

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Spread the apple pie filling evenly into the bottom of a 9x9 inch baking dish.

Drizzle the rich caramel sauce over the top of the apple pie filling.

Flatten pieces of the snickerdoodle cookie dough and layer them over the caramel and apples until the surface is mostly covered.

In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon together.

Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the top of the cookie dough.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cobbler is bubbling and the cookie dough is golden brown and cooked through.

Remove from the oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.
Notes
For a more homemade touch, you can use fresh sautéed apples instead of canned filling. This dish pairs perfectly with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.
