Ingredients

  • 1 lb skinless salmon (Cut into approximately 1-inch cubes; estimated amount because the source does not specify it.)
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp garlic and herb seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • salt (To taste; estimated amount for nutritional purposes.)
  • black pepper (To taste; estimated amount for nutritional purposes.)
  • extra-virgin olive oil (A drizzle to lightly coat the salmon.)
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha
  • 0.5 tbsp Kewpie mayonnaise
  • 1 avocado (Sliced; estimated amount.)
  • 2 scallions (Sliced, for garnish; estimated amount.)

Steps

  1. 1

Cut the salmon into approximately 1-inch cubes. Pat them dry with paper towels to help them brown and become crispy.

  2. 2

Place the salmon cubes in a bowl. Add the onion powder, garlic and herb seasoning, sugar, and smoked paprika.

  3. 3

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Lightly drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil and toss until all the cubes are evenly coated.

  4. 4

Preheat the air fryer to 320 °F (160 °C), if required by the model. Arrange the salmon in a single layer, leaving space between the cubes for air circulation.

  5. 5

Cook the salmon at 320 °F (160 °C) for 15 minutes, until cooked through and opaque in the center.

  6. 6

Increase the temperature to 390 °F (200 °C) and cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes, until the edges are golden and crispy. Avoid overcooking; the salmon should reach 145 °F (63 °C) in the center.

  7. 7

While the salmon cooks, mix the Sriracha with the Kewpie mayonnaise in a small bowl until smooth.

  8. 8

    Slice the avocado and scallions.

  9. 9

Serve the crispy salmon bites with the avocado, dipping sauce, and scallions on top.

Notes

The amounts of salmon, avocado, and scallions were estimated because the publication does not specify them. Cook the salmon in batches if the basket is full; a single layer helps achieve a crispier texture.
