Ingredients
- 0.5 cup plain Greek yogurt (or skyr; Siggi's brand recommended for extra thick texture)
- 0.25 cup chocolate protein powder (Good Protein brand used in original recipe)
- 1 tbsp natural peanut butter (or almond butter; can use up to 2 tbsp)
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (or honey; plus more to taste)
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder (can use up to 2 tbsp for richer flavor)
- 1 tbsp mini chocolate chips (can use up to 2 tbsp)
Steps
- 1
Add the Greek yogurt, chocolate protein powder, nut butter, maple syrup, and cocoa powder to a small mixing bowl.
- 2
Stir the mixture vigorously until it is completely smooth and thick.
- 3
Taste the batter and adjust the sweetness with a little more maple syrup or honey if desired, or add another tablespoon of cocoa powder for a richer chocolate flavour.
- 4
Fold in the mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- 5
Enjoy immediately, or for an even thicker, brownie batter-like texture, chill in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes.
Notes
Serving suggestions: Enjoy straight from the bowl, use as a dip for strawberries, banana slices, apple wedges, or pretzels, or spread onto rice cakes or toast. You can top it with extra chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or a drizzle of peanut butter.
