Ingredients

  • 1 flatbread (35 g)
  • 0.25 onion (finely chopped)
  • 75 g chicken breast (cubed)
  • 1 light cheese (slice of ± 20 g)
  • 1 tbsp low-fat sriracha mayo (sriracha mayonnaise)
  • 40 g cucumber (grated)
  • 1 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • shawarma seasoning (to taste)
  • salt and pepper (to taste)

Steps

  1. 1

Season the chicken breast cubes with shawarma seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  2. 2

Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat and sauté the chicken along with the onion until golden brown and the chicken is fully cooked.

  3. 3

Grate the cucumber and mix it in a small bowl with the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to create a fresh sauce.

  4. 4

Top the flatbread with the slice of light cheese.

  5. 5

Place the flatbread briefly in the oven or air fryer until the cheese has melted.

  6. 6

Top the warm pita with the sautéed chicken and onion.

  7. 7

Spread the homemade cucumber sauce over the chicken.

  8. 8

Finish with a tablespoon of sriracha mayonnaise and serve immediately.
