Ingredients

  • 0.33 stick Butter (divided)
  • 0.5 cup Onions (diced)
  • 0.5 cup Fresh mushrooms (sliced)
  • 3 cup Chicken broth
  • 2 cup Green beans (sliced)
  • 10.75 oz Cream of mushroom soup (1 can)
  • 2.8 oz French-fried onion rings (1 can)
  • Paula Deen's House Seasoning (to taste (1 pinch))
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese (grated)

Steps

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 350 °F.

  2. 2

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

  3. 3

Add the diced onions and sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté in the butter until softened.

  4. 4

In a separate pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add the green beans and boil for 10 minutes, then drain.

  5. 5

In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained green beans, the sautéed mushroom and onion mixture, the cream of mushroom soup, the french-fried onion rings, and House Seasoning to taste.

  6. 6

Stir the mixture well to ensure all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  7. 7

Pour the mixture into a greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish.

  8. 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.

  9. 9

Remove from the oven, top the casserole evenly with the grated Cheddar cheese, and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and the cheese is melted.

Notes

Paula Deen's House Seasoning typically consists of a blend of salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
