- 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded, divided)
- 0.5 cup parmesan cheese (grated, divided)
- 2 garlic (cloves, minced)
- 1.5 cup cherry tomatoes (diced)
- 0.25 cup fresh basil (chopped)
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- balsamic glaze (for drizzling)
- salt and black pepper (to taste)
Steps
- 1
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, half of the shredded mozzarella, half of the grated parmesan, and the minced garlic. Stir until well combined and smooth.
- 3
Spread the cheese mixture evenly into the bottom of a small baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
- 4
In a separate small bowl, toss the diced cherry tomatoes and chopped fresh basil with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- 5
Top the cheese layer with the tomato and basil mixture, spreading it out to the edges.
- 6
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese over the top of the tomatoes.
- 7
Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and the top is golden brown.
- 8
Remove from the oven and finish with a drizzle of balsamic glaze before serving.
Notes
Serve immediately while hot with toasted baguette slices, pita chips, or sturdy crackers. If you want a crispier top, you can broil the dip for the last 1-2 minutes of cooking.
