Weights are estimates. Together, the ingredients weigh about 725 g before cooking, which is about 30 g per serving.

Steps

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cream of tartar. Set the mixture aside.

  2. In a second bowl, add the softened room-temperature butter. Microwave it for 10 seconds; it should look as shown in the video.

  3. Add the powdered sugar. With the mixer off, stir the sugar into the butter to keep it from scattering. Once mostly incorporated, turn on the mixer and beat until combined and the mixture resembles thin frosting.

  4. Add the egg and vanilla, then mix again.

  5. Add all of the flour mixture at once. Fold it in with a silicone spatula until no flour remains; the dough should look as shown in the video.

  6. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1–2 hours.

  7. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon.

  8. Take about 2 tablespoons of dough and roll it into a ball. Roll the ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat it. Repeat for as many cookies as will fit on the tray.

  9. While one tray bakes, return the remaining dough to the refrigerator.

  10. Place the tray in the oven and bake. The source does not state the oven temperature or baking duration.

Notes

The transcript does not provide an oven temperature, baking time, number of trays, or a precise yield. Yield is estimated at about 24 cookies using roughly 2 tablespoons of dough per cookie; baking time and total time are approximate, excluding any additional batches.
