Weights are estimates. Together, the ingredients weigh about 130 g before cooking, which is about 130 g per serving.
Steps
Thinly slice the onion, finely chop the green chili, and chop the fresh coriander. Place them in a small bowl.
Add salt, red chili powder, Maggi masala, oregano, and black pepper to the onion mixture. Mix thoroughly so the seasonings coat the vegetables evenly.
Place one bread slice on a work surface. Spread the seasoned onion mixture evenly over it, keeping the filling within the edges.
Place the cheese slice over the filling, then cover with the second bread slice to form the sandwich.
Heat a pan over medium heat and add the butter. Once the butter melts, place the sandwich in the pan.
Toast the sandwich for about 1 minute per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until both sides are golden brown and crisp and the cheese is warmed or melted. Serve immediately.
Notes
The source does not provide exact quantities, so amounts are estimated for one sandwich. Adjust the green chili and spices to taste. Use medium heat so the bread becomes crisp without burning before the cheese warms.
