- 7 oz low moisture mozzarella (grated)
- 4 tbsp butter (softened, room temperature)
- 1 garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, plus extra for garnish)
- salt (pinch)
- 0.75 cup heavy cream
- 3 tbsp white wine (2-4 tbsp)
- 0.333 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp paprika (for sauce)
- chili flakes (to taste)
- 0.5 white onion (small, finely chopped)
- 1.5 garlic (1-2 cloves, grated)
- 1.5 tbsp sundried tomatoes (1-2 tbsp, chopped)
- salt and black pepper (to taste)
- 2 chicken breasts (small, approx. 8.8 oz / 250g total)
- paprika (for seasoning chicken)
- garlic powder (for seasoning chicken)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for frying chicken)
Steps
- 1
Slice the chicken breasts in half lengthwise so they are an even thickness.
- 2
Season both sides of the chicken with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F / 74°C).
- 4
Remove the chicken from the pan and slice into thin strips. Set aside.
- 5
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic, chopped parsley, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- 6
Slice the bread loaf in half lengthwise and spread the garlic butter evenly on the cut sides.
- 7
In a saucepan, sauté the chopped onion for 1-2 minutes until soft.
- 8
Add the grated garlic to the onions and cook for 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
- 9
Stir in the heavy cream, white wine, Parmesan, oregano, paprika, chili flakes, sundried tomatoes, salt, and pepper.
- 10
Simmer the sauce for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.
- 11
Spoon a layer of the Marry-Me sauce on top of the garlic buttered bread.
- 12
Sprinkle the grated mozzarella generously over the sauce.
- 13
Arrange the sliced chicken strips evenly over the cheese.
- 14
Drizzle a little extra sauce on top of the chicken. Reserve any remaining sauce for dipping.
- 15
To cook in an Air Fryer: Bake at 355°F / 180°C for 7-9 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 16
To cook in an Oven: Bake at 375°F / 190°C for 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 17
Let the bread rest for 1-2 minutes. Top with fresh chopped parsley and serve with the extra sauce on the side.
Notes
Save remaining Marry-Me sauce for dipping. You can use any bread you prefer, though ciabatta or a French baguette works best for holding the toppings.
