Ingredients
- 2 lb frozen potatoes (hash browns or diced potatoes)
- 2 cup sour cream
- 1 can cream of chicken soup (standard 10.5 oz can)
- 2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter (1 stick, melted; for potato mixture)
- garlic powder (to taste)
- salt (to taste)
- black pepper (to taste)
- 2 cup cornflakes (crushed)
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter (melted; for topping)

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard casserole dish.

Pour 2 pounds of frozen potatoes into the greased casserole dish.

Add 2 cups of sour cream, one can of cream of chicken soup, and 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese to the dish.

Pour 1 stick (1/2 cup) of melted butter over the potato mixture.

Season the mixture with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to taste.

Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly within the dish and spread it out into an even layer.
