Ingredients

  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 0.5 cup Sour Cream
  • 0.5 cup Buttermilk (real buttermilk)
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp Fresh Dill (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp Fresh Chives (finely chopped)
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Onion Powder
  • 0.25 tsp Salt (or to taste)
  • 0.125 tsp Black Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice (optional, for tang)

Steps

  1. 1

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk.

  2. 2

Whisk the dairy ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and well-combined.

  3. 3

Finely chop the fresh parsley, dill, and chives.

  4. 4

Add the chopped herbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the bowl.

  5. 5

Whisk again to thoroughly incorporate the herbs and spices. If you prefer a tangier dressing, add a teaspoon of lemon juice and whisk again.

  6. 6

Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt or pepper if needed.

  7. 7

Transfer the dressing to a jar or airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

For best results, use fresh herbs rather than dried. This dressing will keep in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. If the dressing is too thick, you can thin it out with an extra splash of buttermilk.
