Ingredients
- 0.5 cup mayonnaise
- 0.25 cup BBQ sauce (use your favorite brand)
- 0.25 cup honey (clover honey is recommended for a more authentic flavor)
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (fresh)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (optional, community suggested for flavor enhancement)
Steps
- 1
In a medium bowl, combine the half cup of mayonnaise with the quarter cup of BBQ sauce.
- 2
Add the quarter cup of honey and the two tablespoons of yellow mustard to the mixture.
- 3
Stir in approximately one tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and, if desired, the garlic powder.
- 4
Whisk all ingredients vigorously until the sauce is completely smooth and has a uniform color.
- 5
Serve immediately with fried chicken or store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Notes
For a more authentic flavor, using clover honey is recommended as it is milder. This sauce tastes even better than the original when made fresh at home.
