Ingredients
- 4 chicken leg quarters (approx. 3 lbs)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 0.5 tsp black pepper (or to taste)
Steps
- 1
Place the chicken leg quarters into the slow cooker.
- 2
Drizzle the chicken with oil and add the seasonings (paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper). Rub the seasonings evenly over the chicken.
- 3
Do not add any liquid to the crockpot.
- 4
Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours until the chicken is tender and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- 5
Optional: For crispy skin, carefully remove the cooked chicken from the slow cooker and place it on a baking sheet. Place under the oven broiler for 3-5 minutes until the skin is golden and crisp.
Notes
Do not add water or broth to the slow cooker as the chicken will release its own juices during the cooking process. For best results, use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is fully cooked.
