Ingredients

  • 3 Rice paper (Dry sheets; the author recommends using rice paper from the aro or Y-d brands, as not all brands turn out crispy.)

Steps

  1. 1

Place the dry rice paper sheets on a cutting board. Cut them into similarly sized triangles; there is no need to hydrate them.

  2. 2

Arrange the triangles in a single layer on a microwave-safe plate, making sure they are not piled up or overlapping too much.

  3. 3

Microwave at 800 W for 30 seconds. The paper will puff up or change texture and should become light and crispy, without the need to add oil.

  4. 4

Check the texture. If some parts remain soft, microwave them for a few more seconds, watching them closely so they do not burn.

  5. 5

Let them rest briefly and serve the crispy triangles for dipping into dips or sauces.

Notes

The result depends on the brand of rice paper; according to the author, not all brands work equally well. The number of sheets has been estimated because the source does not specify a quantity.
