Ingredients
- 0.5 cup heavy cream (heavy cream)
- ground chipotles (to taste)
- 0.5 bar cream cheese (approx. 4 oz (113g))
- chicken bouillon (to taste)
- salt (to taste)
- 0.25 cup milk (milk)
- 300 g cooked pasta (cooked pasta)
- 150 g peeled and deveined shrimp (peeled and deveined shrimp)
- paprika (to taste)
- garlic powder (to taste)
- 1 tbsp butter or oil (for the pan)
- dried parsley (for garnish)
- parmesan cheese (optional for serving)
Steps
- 1
Place the heavy cream, ground chipotles, cream cheese, chicken bouillon, salt, and milk into a blender.
- 2
Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and well combined. Set the sauce aside.
- 3
Heat a greased skillet over low heat and add the peeled and deveined shrimp.
- 4
Season the shrimp with salt, garlic powder, and a generous amount of paprika to achieve a vibrant color.
- 5
Cook the shrimp until they are pink and opaque. Sprinkle with a little dried parsley, then remove them from the skillet and set aside.
- 6
In the same skillet used for the shrimp, add 1 tablespoon of butter or oil over low heat.
- 7
Pour the blended sauce into the skillet and stir constantly until the mixture becomes slightly less thick.
- 8
Add the 300g of cooked pasta to the sauce and mix carefully to coat the noodles evenly.
- 9
Place the cooked shrimp back on top of the pasta. Once the sauce begins to boil, turn off the heat.
- 10
Serve immediately, garnished with more parsley and optional Parmesan cheese. A side of buttered bread is recommended.
Notes
The author suggests serving this with buttered bread. You can adjust the heat by adding more or less ground chipotle. If you don't have dried parsley, fresh cilantro or basil are suggested by commenters as flavorful alternatives.
