Ingredients

  • 0.5 lb Chicken breast (thinly sliced or shredded)
  • 3 Bacon strips (cooked until crispy)
  • 2 Eggs (fried)
  • 3 slices White bread (toasted)
  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 2 leaves Lettuce (fresh and crisp)
  • 2 slices Tomato
  • 1 tbsp Butter (for toasting bread and frying eggs)
  • Salt and Black Pepper (to taste)

Steps

  1. 1

Prepare the chicken by seasoning with salt and pepper, then sautéing in a pan over medium heat until fully cooked and slightly browned. Set aside.

  2. 2

In the same pan or a separate skillet, fry the bacon strips until they reach your desired level of crispiness. Drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

Melt a small amount of butter in the pan and fry the eggs. You can cook them over-easy or fully set, depending on preference. Season with a pinch of salt.

  4. 4

Toast the three slices of bread until golden brown, either in a toaster or by lightly buttering them and browning them in a skillet.

  5. 5

Begin assembly by spreading a layer of mayonnaise on the first slice of toasted bread.

  6. 6

Place the lettuce and tomato slices on top of the mayonnaise, followed by the cooked chicken.

  7. 7

Place the second slice of toasted bread on top of the chicken. Spread more mayonnaise on this slice.

  8. 8

Layer the fried eggs and crispy bacon onto the second slice.

  9. 9

Spread the remaining mayonnaise on the third slice of bread and place it face-down on top of the bacon to close the sandwich.

  10. 10

Secure the layers with toothpicks if necessary and cut the sandwich diagonally into halves or quarters before serving.

Notes

For a more authentic club sandwich experience, use frilly toothpicks to hold the layers together. You can also add a slice of cheddar or swiss cheese to the egg layer for extra richness.
