Ingredients
- 0.5 cup Mayonnaise (For McDonald’s-inspired curry sauce)
- 1 tsp Curry powder (For McDonald’s-inspired curry sauce)
- 1 tbsp Honey (For McDonald’s-inspired curry sauce)
- 2 tbsp Butter (Melted; for Popeyes-inspired ghost pepper sauce)
- 1 tbsp Hot sauce (For Popeyes-inspired ghost pepper sauce)
- 1 tsp Honey (For Popeyes-inspired ghost pepper sauce)
- 0.125 tsp Cayenne pepper (For Popeyes-inspired ghost pepper sauce; adjust for heat)
- 0.5 cup Sour cream (For Del Taco-inspired secret sauce)
- 1 tbsp Taco seasoning (For Del Taco-inspired secret sauce)
- 1 tbsp Lime juice (For Del Taco-inspired secret sauce)
- 1 tbsp Cilantro (Finely chopped; for Del Taco-inspired secret sauce)
Steps
- 1
Make the McDonald’s-inspired curry sauce: place the mayonnaise in a small bowl. Add the curry powder and honey, then stir until completely smooth and evenly combined.
- 2
Make the Popeyes-inspired ghost pepper sauce: melt the butter gently in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl. Do not let it brown.
- 3
Add the hot sauce, honey, and cayenne pepper to the melted butter. Stir thoroughly until the sauce is uniform and glossy. Taste carefully and add more cayenne only if you want additional heat.
- 4
Make the Del Taco-inspired secret sauce: place the sour cream in a bowl. Add the taco seasoning, lime juice, and chopped cilantro.
- 5
Stir the sour cream mixture until smooth and well combined, with the seasoning and cilantro distributed throughout.
- 6
Serve the sauces immediately as dips or drizzled over fries, chicken, tacos, burritos, or other fast-food-style dishes. Chill the mayonnaise- and sour-cream-based sauces if not serving right away.
Notes
The transcript provides ingredient identities but no measurements, so the quantities are practical estimates for small batches. Refrigerate the mayonnaise- and sour-cream-based sauces and use within several days; serve the butter-based sauce warm or at room temperature.
