Subway Chicken Teriyaki Sandwiches

Ingredients
- 3 Sandwich rolls (Sub-style rolls)
- 500 g Chicken breast (cut into strips)
- 9 slices Cheddar cheese (3 slices per sandwich)
- 2 tbsp Teriyaki sauce
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
- Paprika powder (to taste)
- Garlic powder (to taste)
- Onion powder (to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
- Iceberg lettuce (shredded)
- Tomatoes (sliced)
- Jalapeños (sliced)
- Onions (sliced)
- Samurai Sauce (or sauce of choice (e.g. Yaummi Classic Samurai))
- Sriracha Mayo (optional topping)

Cut the chicken breast into long strips.

Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken strips and season with paprika powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Sauté until the chicken is well-browned and cooked through.

Add 2 tbsp of teriyaki sauce to the pan and continue to fry for 1–2 minutes until the chicken is glazed and the sauce has thickened slightly.

Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F) using the top/bottom heat setting.

Carefully slice open the sandwich rolls. Place 3 slices of cheddar cheese on each sandwich.

Place the sandwiches in the preheated oven and bake briefly until the cheese is completely melted.

Remove the sandwiches from the oven and top with iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes, jalapeños, onions, and the prepared teriyaki chicken.

Drizzle with Samurai sauce and Sriracha mayo (if using) before serving.
Notes
