Ingredients

  • 150 g mango (frozen)
  • 0.5 banana (frozen; approximately 59 g edible flesh)
  • 30 g Designer whey (Preferably Tropical Vanilla Cream or Vanilla Ice Cream)
  • 50 g low-fat quark
  • 50 ml almond milk (Unsweetened almond milk; regular milk can also be used)
  • 0.5 banana (for the topping, sliced; approximately 59 g edible flesh)
  • 20 g granola (for the topping)
  • 10 g 100% peanut butter (for the topping; to drizzle over the bowl)

Steps

  1. 1

Place the frozen mango and half of the frozen banana in a high-powered blender. Use frozen fruit so the smoothie bowl develops a thick, ice-cream-like texture.

  2. 2

Add the whey, low-fat quark, and almond milk.

  3. 3

Blend everything until smooth, creamy, and airy. If blending does not work immediately, briefly turn off the blender and shake or loosen the ingredients with a spoon. Do not add extra milk right away, as this can make the bowl too thin.

  4. 4

Spoon the thick smoothie bowl into a bowl.

  5. 5

Slice the remaining half banana and arrange the slices over the bowl.

  6. 6

Sprinkle the granola over the top for a crunchy topping.

  7. 7

Drizzle the peanut butter over the smoothie bowl and serve immediately.

Notes

The nutritional values are approximate and may vary depending on the size of the banana, the type of granola, the milk used, and the whey brand. Adjust the quantities to suit your needs. Eat the bowl immediately for the thickest texture.
